Alaska cruise questions...?
We'd like to take an Alaskan cruise in July. Our travel agent recommends Princess Cruises the Diamond Princess for our itinerary , based on many, many happy clients. I read reviews which don't support such satisfaction during peak months the reviews were better for May and September cruises. We've done Royal Caribbean and Carnival to other destinations and all the reviews were great, as were our trips, so I'm reluctant to invest so much for a mediocre experience.I would like to know 1 Can anyone comment on Princess especially Diamond to Alaska in July? I want to know about efficiency of staff, quality of food and crowding, like no place to sit 2 Is the weather mostly rainy?3 Denali National Park visit during May & Sept, passengers loved it. During July, reviews reported chaos, long waits, preference given to passengers who took additional excursions during the land trip. Any comments here?Thank you very much.
Alaska Cruise - Balcony - Which side?
Ok. Finally decided after much debate that we are going to do a balcony room for our cruise.We are going a Northbound from Seattle, is there one side of the ship better then the other for viewing the scenery??Great replies. I get the not being in the room often. I liked the idea of breakfast, etc. But the key balcony decision was when I read about how crowded the decks are. Anyone ever have any issues not being able to get photos, space to observe, etc.

Best cruise line for vegetarian on an Alaska cruise?
If you have had any good or bad experiences as a vegetarian on an Alaska cruise or know anyone who has, please tell me what cruise line was used. There are many factors to consider when choosing a cruise, but I would like to know if some are better than others as far as vegetarian meal choices. Please also tell me if the meals consisted of buffets or ordering off a menu. Thanks

My husband and I really want to go on an Alaskan Cruise. We live close to Seattle, so we can leave from there and not have to spend money for a flight. Alaska Cruise and Land Tour?
We are going to Alaska this summer is going to Alaska. We checked with princess cruise price was okay, but the Land tour 5 days were very expensive. Anyone out there that have experience the Princess cruise tour. Should we do our separate land tour instead of booking all through Princess. Thank you for sharing your experience.
