Alaska vacation (need some advice)?
going on a cruise to juneau,skagway,ketchikan,and british columbia. For me its my dream vacation and I was wondering if I could get some input on the tours the ship has to offer or the ones I should stay away from. What tours are worth its money.

Alaska Vacation -- any good travel tips?
Next summer I want to travel to Alaska. I'm not really interested in a cruise or group tour, I especially enjoy national parks and doing my own exploring hiking, kayaking, driving, etc .Anyone have any good travel tips to get the most out of a 7 day trip? I'm a single male in mid 20's and would probably travel with a few friends.

anyone stayed in alaska for a winter vacation? where did you stay and any advice? i dont know if we'd rather go to canada or alaska? we want a nice cozy cabin like, picturesque getaway. wheres the best place for auroras? my bf and I just wanna go somewhere gorgeous and comfortable? he likes to go fly fishing or maybe chill out and go snowboarding.....its all up in the air on what we wanna do. anybody wanna lend me their experiences and advice?? gotta have a little nightlife also....so somewhere within decent distance to town would be great?

I plan to go to Alaska next year around September or October. I want to see the Northern Lights. I have read that the winter months are better for that but I don't want to die a frozen death. I am from Texas. I plan to stay in Fairbanks. Hopefully about a 4 day vacation. Any tips, pointers, ideas or advice? What about the cost? Thank you

I'm going for two weeks to alaska in june and since I live in a COMPLETELY opposite climate I have NO idea what the weather will be like much less how I will fit all the clothes I want need to bring into my suitcase that I just found out has a weight limit....anyway if you've ever lived or been to alaska around the first 2 weeks of june could you let me know what types of things to bring....thanks I" ll be going on a cruise for a week and then a land tour for anotherso I need casual and dressy nicer clothes so I hve things to wear to dinners on the cruise...I don't really know where all I'll be going but thanks for the help

I'm suppose to write an essay. but first I need to do a compare and contrast diagram for the two and am totally brain dead for this part hhaa p can anyone help me compare and contrast these two.think of all the ways the two vacations would be similar as well as different. clothing, transportation, food, native peoples, etc.

We are interested in either a cruise or land package, maybe both. I hear it's beautiful up there, but need more specific direction on things to see and do.
