Question: What is everything i need to drive to fairbanks, alaska?

If someone could compile a list that would be great! I remember as a child, getting thru Canada, I think you had to have a set amount of money in your possession to continue the drive, but that was 21 years ago. My biggest concern would be what I need to get thru canada more than anything, but a complete list of EVERYTHINg would be GREATLY appreciated!!!

The book that you want to get from Barnes and Noble or any good book store is actually called "MilePost " and it's a must have! You will need a valid US Passport to enter Canada from the US and must have no previous criminal record. You must not have any firearms in your possession when you enter Canada. You may carry tobacco and alcohol for your own consumption (Don't bother as the beer is better in Canada..Make sure you stop in Whitehorse and visit the Yukon Gold Brewery)... I have driven from Phoenix to Fairbanks and beyond (up the haul road several times too beyond the artic circle Coldfoot) many times. First and most important is that you have a car and tires that are in good working order. Know your fuel mileage and make sure you know the point to point mileage so you don't run out of gas... There is a book called the Alaskan Highway Guidebook with milestones. that should cover it all.
