Question about Anchorage Alaska?
First of all, I don't know why yahoo Answers does not have a catagory for Alaska in their travel section. Anyway, my husband and I are planning a trip to Alaska from Boston in late summer. He says he doesn't want to spend any time in Anchorage when we land there.He says he is not interested in the city, and just wants to see nature, glaciers, mountains etc. I heard that Anchorage is full of wildlife and wilderness,and that the city is just a small part of it. I want to spend a day or two exploring Anchorage. What is your experience with Anchorage, what are some fun and interesting things to do there? We are flying in, and renting a car. Going to Denali, Homer, Sweard, Whittier etc.. Thanks.

I went on a two week vacation in Alaska two years ago and have always wanted to go back to live for a few months during the summer. I have enough income saved up for a round trip flight, but I would need a job while living there. I was thinking Anchorage would have a lot of openings.
