It is hot but because there isnt as much development in Queen Creek compared to Phoenix the nights cool off nicely. I lived out there before the big housing boom when it was nothing but farms and fields. Its changed a lot since then. Lots of suburban developments with stores/ shopping centers popping up. Lots of cheap houses that look all the same. The freeway is getting closer but it is still expensive to drive in and out to get to the city. Young couples moved out there to get a cheap starter home but lots people have left due to the rising costs of gas. Home values have dropped due to all the foreclosures. I think its a good move for an older couple who want to live a quiet life away from the city. But if you plan to commute those cheap houses wont mean a thing in comparison to the gas. |

It sounds like you are going from Heaven to Hell. I am moving from Phoenix to Colorado next week. Queen Creek is out in the middle of nowhere compared to Phoenix. It is a community that is making the transition from farming to residential. So there are a bunch of fields and some neighborhoods, but it is very spread it. the closest Freeway is 30 minutes away from you. The Roads are torn up and it floods there. Whenever we get these big huge monsoon storms, Queen Creek always gets hits. Houses flood and people get stuck in these Flooded Roads. People are also not that nice here in Arizona. Good Example, my buddy was with some friends and they were driving in Cave Creek and they saw a coyote. A quarter mile down the road they come across this guy with his dog. So they decide to stop and warn the guy that there was a coyote up aways, since they have been known to attack dogs. Well this Jerk responds and says, "So " like he didn't care or appreciate that they stopped to warn him. That is the State's Mentality, no one cares and nobody is nice. Plus it is HOT HOT HOT, way too HOT!!! Don't let the Cheap Housing Prices fool you, you will pay for it in more ways than one.. Good Luck moving.... |

HOT BLONDE IS RIGHT! QUEEN CREEK IS IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE...ITS A FAR DRIVE TO PHOENIX OR SCOTTSDALE IF YOU WANNA HIT THE TOWN. THERE IS NO NIGHTLIFE IN QUEEN CREEK AND ITS A VERY NEW AREA AND HAS BEEN JUST BUILT UP IN THE PAST 5 YEARS. ALTHOUGH ITS A NICE AREA AND EVERYTHING IS NEW DON'T LET ME FOOL YA BUT ITS BORING...CHANDLER MALL IS JUST A FEW MILES AWAY BUT THATS ABOUT IT. I LIKE QUEEN CREEK ITS NICE BUT ITS TO FAR FROM EVERYTHING I LIKE AND ITS JUST TO NEW AND RESIDENTIAL FOR ME. ON THE FLIP SIDE THOUGH YOU CAN BUY A BEAUTIFUL HUGE HOUSE RIGHT NOW IN QUEEN CREEK FOR PEANUTS I HEAR AND THAT'S A VERY GOOD THING! GOOD LUCK! HOPE THIS HELPS RZ |

I live in Queen Creek. I think it's a great place, but everything good is far away. It's an hour drive to my school, but it's really pretty out here. There are a lot of parks and kids. It's getting bigger and bigger every day. It sounds like a big change though. Houses are cheap cheap cheap. |

Queen creek is not that big of a city but it is getting there. Houses are cheap. The bad part is there is one way in and one way out of town. |
