SoCal is pretty big so there is a lot to do. In San Diego you can visit SeaWorld, Legoland, SD Zoo, and the SD Wild Animal Park. Also check out Balboa Park, downtown SD, Old Town, Pacific Beach, Mission Beach, La Jolla, TJ.... Lots of different great beaches and parks to check out. Lots of great resurants and shopping too all over the county. In Orange County you can do Disneyland and Knott's Berry farm. Also check out the coastal areas like Laguna Beach and Newport Beach. Up in LA there are many things to do like Universal Studios, Six Flags, Hollywood, Downtown LA, Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, Venice, Malibu, ect.... Take a tour of several TV and movie studios. take a day trip to Santa Catalina island about 20 miles off the coast. Lots of different cultural attractions around LA too like the La Brea Tar pits, Getty Musuem, Kodak Theatre, ect... Santa Barbara is also a very nice and scenic city to visit and is near many wineries. If you want to go to the mountains Big Bear Lake is a nice alpine community to visit. Or you can take a trip out to the desert to Palm Springs and check out that area.

So many things to do you will need to decide on San Diego or LA area. They have the most attractions to offer visitors. Disney Resort, Knotts, Beaches, San Diego Zoo, Sea World so many things to do and places to see.
