Question: When does it snow the most in colorado?

I have heard rumors that March is the snowiest month in colorado. Is that true?

March is definitely the snowiest month for the front range. However, the mountains get ptrtty much consistent snow through the season

True, March and April, but it melts fast because of the low humidity, higher altitude and strong sunshine. I've seen a 6 " snowfall melt in one day.

Yes, that is true for the Front Range but it depends on what part of Colorado you are in. Denver has gotten barely any snow at all this winter but I live in the mountains in Western Colorado and we have been getting pounded since November. The other day Durango, CO got about 3 feet of snow! So Western Colorado is ALWAYS gettting snow but Denver and the Front Range usually get hit hardest in the months right before spring.
