Needed to expand the footprint and show something new. Hawaii is a bunch of islands and there's only so much of the same stuff you can feature before it gets stale. Other financial decisions could have made an impact as well. The unions could've been targeting the show for rate increases which would eventually cause the producers to pick up and leave.

Its only a guess but Baby Lisa is really pregnant by now, and might be unable to fly by this point, they could be waiting for the baby girl to arrive? I know I personally can't wait for them to get back to HI!
