Thinking of moving to connecticut?
I aspire on living in Connecticut after highschool with a friend. I currently live in Miami but I really feel out of my element here, knowing english and such. No offense to anybody of course. What are some reccomended places to live, colleges, and etc. I want to live somewhere, where my friend and I can split the rent, be able to go to New York, and live in a good neighborhood. My mother is thinking about moving to hamden, ct which is right next to new haven, ct. To my understanding new, haven is a really dangerous city. What I wanna know is does hamden get affected. what is the crime rating in hamden.Also, Im thinking about going to southern university in new haven. Is that a bad area?

My husband and I are currently living in Las Vegas and have been wanting to move back east he's originally from NY, and I'm from Maine for quite some time now... we just recently found out that we both have possible transfer opportunities to CT from our jobs. He would be working at the Foxwoods casino there, so we'd need to be somewhere reasonably close to there... What are good areas to live in that are withing 30 45 minutes from Foxwoods?We've been checking out real estate in towns like Norwich & New London... But was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction for a good place to start raise a family...Thanks in advance...

What are some cool or helpful things my mom should know before she moves to connecticut?
My mom is moving to connecticut next saturday and I'm enhancing a map to show a bunch of cool places she should go, and I'm making a big connecticut fact sheet too. Is there anything off beat or interesting she should know? What will she need in order to survive out there? I might be able to use anything so if you have some jokes, best places to eat, stupid people who lived or live there. I may be taking a job in Bristol, CT...how is the area?? Is it safe?? Is living apartments in the area cheap?? Maybe a better question, is the cheap living apartments in the area safe? ? I've seen some things about drugs and gangs and that's really the last thing I need to worry about...can anyone recommend a good apartment complex around there?? Thanks for any help
