Or, do you know a good site to get discounted Amtrak tickets?

Here are URLs for smaller bus companies if you want to take a chance with them. They cost about $20 one-way and go from NYC to Wilmington: chinatown-bus.org/ coverage/ gotobus.com/ wilmington/ ************** If you want to avoid taking these less-reputable buses to Wilmington, your best bet is this: 1) Either Megabus or BoltBus from NYC to Philadelphia, 30th St Station; 2) SEPTA train to Wilmington. BoltBus: https:/ / boltbus.com/ default.aspx NYC to Philadelphia by $13.00 or less. Megabus: megabus.com/ us/ index.php NYC to Philadelphia by $9.00 or less SEPTA: airs1.septa.org/ bin/ query.exe/ en? There's a train running from Philly, 30th St. Station to Wilmington, and there is a $4.75 fare. A lot cheaper than Amtrak, eh?

NJ transit runs to Wilmington, with a stop at State Roads.

I would fly if i were you... there are quite a few sites that you can search that will likely give you the best prices available. check out the website BookMe and you will be able to compare prices on all the reputable travel sites in just a couple minutes. it's very convenient and will save you a bunch of time and money. Also, make sure you buy them online... otherwise they charge much higher fees for phone orders. good luck.
