The Florida Keys

Question: Is there much to do in the florida keys?

We are thinking of taking a couple of days out from our holiday in Orlando to travel down to the Keys. However, it is quite a hike and we will have teenagers with us. Is it worth the time and effort. Also, we were going to visit Miami on the way home. Any suggestions for places of interest.

I doubt teens will like it unless they dive, like sports fishing or just want to lay on a beach and drink all day.

I've lived in Florida for most of my life and I went to the Keys once a few years ago when I was about 13. I personally found it to be very boring, all it really is is the beach (which you can go to in places closer to Orlando) and tacky souvenir stores and bars. I would however recommend South Beach. I love Miami and I am even going to college there in the fall.
