Where to move: Hawaii or Australia?
Ok, I am 100 % moving out of Pennsylvania when I get my BA degree. I've sort of narrowed it down to two places I'm open to different ideas though , Hawaii because it is still in the U.S. but far enough away that it doesn't really feel like it, and my parents won't need passports to visit me, also because I can go to the beach and then go snowboarding in the same day Mauna Kea . I'm also thinking about Australia because I've always wanted to live there since I was a kid, the place is beautiful and the accent is sick maybe if I'm there long enough I can develop one lol , but it's very far away and it would cost a lot for my family to visit. I also want to consider the price of living, where is cheaper to live? Again, I am also open to consider pretty much anywhere else in the world too, so suggest away. Thanks.
What non-touristy things can we do in Kona, Hawaii?
We are going to Hawaii in October for our honeymoon, and we want to do things that are fun and memorable without all the crowds. Also, we're on a budget. I'm just asking this out of curiosity, as I'm haole as hell from the mainland too and am somewhat of a cultural chameleon so I blend in very quickly, but I've gotten nothing but aloha from the local aina, even from the moke dudes who seem to hate every haole they come across loljust my local experience, or does everyone in Hawaii get along so well as I do? is racism isolated, or is it just a few bad eggs?

Do I REALLY absolutely have to travel all the way to TEXAS? It is about child support involving my two kids. One is 17, the other is 21. Boy and girl. Is there some hidden catch to the big island of Hawaii, and why rent is so cheap there?
looking on craigslist, it's much much cheaper than Aiea, where I currently live...and yet for some reason, it seems like it'd have a catch...why is rent 300 dollars cheaper than what I currently pay for an area twice as large with a lanai? is there something about Hilo I'm missing here? lots of crime? cold weather? etc.
